Congratulations, you made it through snowy January and have reached February. Hopefully, your 2025 is off to a great start.
We do know that Groundhog (2nd), Valentine's (14th), and Presidents' (17th) Days do occur this month. February also offers National Dark Chocolate Day (1st), National Wear Red Day (2nd), World Nutella Day (5th), National Make a Friend Day (11th), International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11th), Tell a Fairy Tale Day (26th), and International Polar Bear Day (27th).

The states, "Kindness isn’t just a thought, it’s something we do." They offer their slogan, "make kindness the norm." Here are some suggestions for sharing kindness:
- Write positive messages on sticky notes and leave them for others to find
- Be a friend to a neighbor
- Challenge yourself to only write positive comments on social media
- Compliment with reckless abandon
- Donate used/new towels or blankets to a shelter
- Smile at others
- Be kind to yourself
February’s full Snow Moon reaches its peak on Saturday, February 12th. It’s also considered to be a micromoon. A micromoon simply means that the full moon is at its farthest point from Earth - think of a micromoon as the opposite of a supermoon. The explanation behind February’s full moon name is a fairly straightforward one: it’s known as the Snow Moon due to the typically heavy snowfall that occurs in February. On average, February is the snowiest month in the US, according to data from the National Weather Service.
